Hi Healthy, Sexy, Vegan (or Vegan to Be)!

I know how hard it can be to stick to your weight loss goals during the holidays. It’s as if the entire season were designed just to make us overweight and unhappy. But I have good news for you: Those days are over! You never need to fear a sugary, fattening pecan pie again. This recipe is the answer to all your body-shaping dreams. 

This pie may be high in fat, but it’s the good, healthy, natural kind of fat from the pecans and cashews. No added sugar, no oil, no animal products or processed ingredients. Now that’s what I call a proper dessert!

The lovely texture and satisfying flavours of this pecan pie will be sure to delight the whole family. Why not whip it up at your next holiday gathering?

Satisfying, Body-Shaping Pecan Pie (Raw)

Simple, Slimming Ingredients:


  • 1 pound (1/2 kilogram) dried white mulberries
  • 3/4-1 pound (1/3-1/2 kilogram) pitted dates
  • “White Chocolate” Layer
  • 1 cup soaked raw cashews
  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 cup freshly pitted dates
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Pecan Filling:

  • 3 sliced pink lady or fuji apples
  • 1/2 cup pitted dates
  • 3/4 cup raw pecans
  • 3 small sprigs of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Chocolate Icing: 

  • 1 cup raw carob (or cacao) 
  • 3/4 cup coconut water
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly pitted dates
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Step-by-Step Directions:

1. The Crust. Put all crust ingredients into your food processor, and process until mixture acquires a crust-like consistency. Press evenly into your pie pan.

2. The “White Chocolate” Layer. Add all “white chocolate” ingredients to your high-speed blender, and blend until thick and smooth. Use a spatula to spread it on over crust.

3. The Pecan Filling. Add all pecan filling ingredients to your blender and blend until thick and creamy. Spread evenly over your “white chocolate” layer. Try not to lick the spoon! 😉

4. The Chocolate Icing. Add all icing ingredients to your blender and blend until totally smooth. Pour over the top of your pie. (Note: This works beautifully as a chocolate dip for fresh fruit, too!)

5. Top your pie with raw pecans. Press them into the top in neat circles, or get creative and go crazy!

6. Serve, and enjoy the slimming properties of healthy, satisfying calories!
